Rental Conditions

    • - The yacht service contract outlines the terms of use, rental period, yacht type, crew (if applicable), and services provided.
      - Annexes may include:
        - Yacht condition report (before and after service)
        - Inventory of equipment and amenities onboard
        - Special clauses, such as limitations on destinations or use (e.g., fishing, parties)
        - Insurance coverage and liability terms
      - The contract must be signed or agreed to electronically by both the service provider and the client before the rental begins. Amendments to the contract must be mutually agreed upon.

    • - *Captain's License*: For self-drive yacht charters, the client must have a valid UAE boating license. Foreign licenses may be accepted based on reciprocity agreements or by obtaining approval from the UAE authorities.
      - *Crewed Yachts*: If the yacht comes with a crew, the client does not need to provide a captain’s license, but must adhere to all laws and regulations while onboard.
      - *Minimum Age*: The person booking the yacht must generally be at least 21 years old. For certain larger or luxury yachts, providers may require the booker to be at least 25 years of age.
      - *Passenger Safety*: There may also be rules on age restrictions for passengers, especially for children, who must be supervised at all times.

  •  Yacht charter pricing varies based on yacht size, duration, amenities, and season.
    - The price generally includes the rental fee, crew costs (if applicable), fuel for a set number of nautical miles, and basic onboard services (such as beverages and snacks).
    - Additional costs may include:
      - Fuel surcharges for longer trips
      - Mooring fees at certain marinas
      - Water sports equipment or extra amenities like catering, entertainment, etc.
      - VAT at the standard 5% rate applicable in the UAE.
    - A security deposit may be required, refundable after the end of the trip, assuming there’s no damage to the yacht or equipment.

    •  Full payment or a significant deposit (usually 50%) is required upon booking, with the remaining balance payable before the yacht departs.
      - Accepted payment methods typically include credit cards, bank transfers, and, in some cases, cash (for deposits or final payments).
      - Cancellation policies often state that cancellations within 72 hours of the booking date may incur full charges, while earlier cancellations may be subject to partial refunds, depending on the provider’s specific policy.
      - Some providers may offer flexible payment terms for repeat or corporate clients.

    • *Boarding*: The yacht is made available for boarding at the marina specified by the service provider. This could be in Dubai Marina, Abu Dhabi, or another location depending on the client’s request.
      - *Departure Time*: The client must arrive at the boarding point on time. Any delays may reduce the charter duration without compensation or may incur additional costs if extended beyond the agreed period.
      - The service provider is responsible for ensuring the yacht is in good working order and equipped as per the agreement before the departure.

    •  *Maritime Fines*: Clients are expected to follow UAE maritime rules, including speed limits, designated sea routes, and restricted areas (such as private islands or sensitive maritime zones). Fines for violations (e.g., reckless boating, speeding, or entering restricted zones) will be passed on to the client if self-driving the yacht.
      - *Environmental Responsibility*: Fines for littering or causing environmental damage (such as oil spills or waste disposal) in UAE waters will also be the responsibility of the client. Providers often include these details in the contract to ensure clients are aware of their responsibilities.
      - *Crewed Yachts*: For crewed charters, the captain and crew are responsible for ensuring compliance with all maritime regulations. However, clients must comply with the crew's instructions to avoid violations.

    •  As with the first section, the contract for yacht services includes specific terms such as the type of yacht, its condition, rental duration, and the liability for damages or fines.
      - Annexes might also include specific instructions or guidelines on safety procedures, the use of equipment (jet skis, diving gear), and limitations on the number of guests or types of events that can be hosted onboard (such as parties or corporate events).
